It's with a heavy heart that we share that Alex passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, 28 October 2025. After a long and difficult battle, he can now rest peacefully.

As some of you know, Alex was diagnosed with terminal anorectal cancer about six years ago, following the good news that he was in remission from lymphoma.

After receiving the devastating news of his new cancer diagnosis, Alex decided he would do whatever it took to prolong his life. Over the years, he underwent multiple treatments, including radiation therapy, chemotherapy and major surgery to remove organs in the hope of stopping the spread.

About five years into treatment, we learned that the cancer had metastasized to his spine, liver and kidney, and the years of treatment were no longer working. His doctors made the difficult decision to stop treatment as continuing would have been too dangerous. If you know Alex, you’d understand that he would have kept fighting until the very end.

This year has not been easy for Alex or our family. With his treatment ending and the recent passing of his two beloved pets, Red and Georgia, Alex has deteriorated quickly and is now permanently in the hospital’s palliative care unit.

With the uncertainty of how much time we have left, we’re asking for help to cover Alex’s cremation costs. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward fulfilling Alex’s final wish to be cremated with his beloved pets and will help ease the financial burden on our family.
