On 25th November, aged just 43, my best mate Rob sadly lost his brave battle with cancer after fighting for six years.

On 22nd April I’ll be traveling to Morocco to climb Mount Toubkal — fulfilling a promise I made to him.

Walking was something special we shared —some of my best memories of Rob are from those walks, sharing laughs and putting the world to rights. In between most of his walks Rob was going through brutal rounds of chemotherapy and surgery but being the character he was it never stopped him, he wanted to carry on raising money for his charities.

Climbing Toubkal feels like a fitting way to remember him — doing something we both loved.

Most importantly, I want to raise some money for the children he left behind. Every penny raised will go directly to them.
