We are raising funds to help out our very good friend and his family to cover for their memorial and funeral services. Any donations will help.
Honorio D. Mitra passed away at 5:00 AM on April 5th, the day he turned 99 years of age from natural causes. He is survived here in America by his 3 children and granddaughter, Juliet, Marivile, Raymond and Camille Mitra. He is also survived by his other 5 children back in the Philippines as well as all his 19 grandchildren, 14 great grand children and 1 great great grandchild.
He was born in Lipa City, Batangas, Philippines. Enlisted when he was 20 years old with the Philippine Army-Guerrilla Unit during WWII and fought alongside with the Americans. He was given the nickname Henry as the Americans were having a hard time pronouncing his name. Fun things he had enjoyed in life were fishing or crabbing, walking, people watching, action movies, traveling, casinos and quiet time playing solitaire in his home.
Everyone who knew him or met him considers him as a friendly man who always smiles.
Although he is no longer here, his memories will live forever and his family will miss him more than words can say.
