A couple of years ago, we lost our dog, Shadow, to cancer. He wasn’t just a pet — he was family. Shadow was there for the quiet mornings, the long nights, and every moment in between, loving us with a loyalty that never asked for anything in return. Watching him grow tired and saying goodbye was one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to do, and the house felt unbearably empty without him.

In the grief that followed, we kept thinking about the kind of dog Shadow was; gentle, grateful, and full of love. It broke our hearts knowing there are dogs out there facing hunger, cold nights, and illness with no one to sit beside them. That loss became our motivation. This fundraiser is our way of honoring Shadow’s memory by giving back to our community, focusing on providing food and essential supplies to homeless dogs who need it most.

Every bag of food, every blanket, every small act of kindness is a reminder that love doesn’t end when they leave us. Shadow taught us that compassion matters, and through this fundraiser, his spirit lives on — helping dogs who are still waiting for someone to show up for them.
