On July 3rd, 2025, our beloved father, David Meyer, was found after being lost at sea and has sadly passed away.

Our family is heartbroken. The past weeks have been filled with fear, unanswered questions, and unimaginable pain. While we are grateful to have found him and have some closure, the grief of losing him is immense.

David was so much more than the tragedy of his passing. He was a veteran, a retired laborer, an avid hunter and fisherman, and a deeply active member of his community. He was a grandfather, father, brother, son, uncle, and friend. The kind of man who showed up for the people he loved and gave without hesitation.

He was known for his grit, his humor, his generosity, his courageousness, and his love for the outdoors. Whether he was casting a line, helping a neighbor, or sharing a laugh around a fire, David lived fully and gave endlessly.

We are creating this fundraiser to help cover memorial expenses, travel costs, and to support our family as we navigate this unexpected and heartbreaking loss. Your donation (no matter the size) will help us honor David’s memory the way he deserves and allow us the time and space to grieve.
