Honoring Chad Poyer

Sadly, our beloved Chad Thomas Poyer left us on July 12th, 2023, due to heart failure. If you knew Chad, you know the essence of his spirit was uplifting others through fun, laughter, and making experiences memorable. Special times evolved into great stories, and those influenced by Chad always had stories worth sharing. Many were epic, like when he lay down in front of moving trucks to block the Seahawks' move to California. ESPN and local news captured this moment with Chad and Allen Akers, and it still airs occasionally in retrospectives on Seahawks history.
Time spent with Chad was always memorable and special. He emphasized humor, reminding us that laughter and smiles are essential for our well-being. He consistently elevated our spirits, serving up joy like a champion.
Thank you, brother. We’ll cherish all the laughter forever. Your spirit will live on through the great stories.
Chad leaves behind his family: son Noah (8), daughter Alexi (3), and wife Zlata. Raising children in a two-parent household is challenging, and Zlata now faces this with two children who no longer have their beloved father. Amidst excessive inflation and relentless taxation, the family's challenges moving forward are immense—emotionally, financially, and mentally.
As trying as these times are for all of us, please consider giving something to help ease their stresses. Your support can help Zlata raise her and Chad's children in a balanced and stable environment despite Chad's absence.
For the priceless memories he gave you, please help support Chad's family.
