On May 2, Bill Dick—beloved husband, father, son, brother, friend—left behind the broken body that had fought colorectal cancer for 10 years and became whole again in heaven. Melissa, Sean, and Seth are grieving, and in this overwhelming time of picking up the pieces, will have financial responsibilities that do not stop for that grief. In addition, their home was damaged by the ice storm earlier this year, and is still under repair. This fund has been created to honor Bill and to support their family. It is specifically directed to immediate needs as well as continuing education for their sons—Seth, who had to leave his freshman year at Purdue early to say goodbye to his father, and Sean, who graduates with his master’s degree from his father’s alma mater, Vanderbilt University, on May 8, and who plans to continue on to receive his PhD.

Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference to this family as they begin to heal and rebuild, and will honor Bill’s continuing legacy. Thank you for your prayers, kindness, compassion, and support during this incredibly challenging time.
