My name is Ebony, and I am heartbroken to share that I recently lost my only sons, Zaron Tillie Jr and Zi’ Yair Tillie. Zaron was just 20 years old—he passed away only 12 days after his birthday. Zi’ Yair, my baby, was only 16. They were the light of my life and their sister’s world. My boys had the most loving, sweetest hearts. They were loyal, caring, and always looked out for me and their sister. We were everything to each other.
Our family has faced unimaginable hardship. Four years ago, my children’s father passed away, and the day my boys died was the anniversary of his burial. Recently, we lost our home after being scammed out of thousands of dollars. We were left homeless and hungry, and I lost my EBT benefits even though we had nowhere to go. My car is now at risk of repossession. Through all of this, my boys felt the pressure to help provide for me and their sister. In their desperation, they made choices they never would have otherwise, and it led to a tragic accident. They were involved in a car accident with the Jacksonville sheriff officers, and both of my boys died immediately. They didn’t deserve such a hard life, and I am lost without them.
I am now trying to find a way to give my sons the memorial they deserve, take time off work to grieve and care for my daughter, and find some stability for us. Any support is greatly appreciated, and nothing is too little. Every penny counts. To know my babies is to know love. #SPREAD THE LOVE
