It is hard to find the words for a time like this. It is with heavy hearts that we come to you asking for donations for our dear friend Kristie Cal Cason. She suffered the devastating loss of her son to a senseless act of violence. Her son Xavier Nichols (Zae to all who knew him) was murdered early Friday morning in a Taco Bell parking lot while picking up a DoorDash order for delivery. I’m sure most have you have seen the news reports but what you don’t see is how devastating this is for his friends and family but especially devastating for Kristie and his son. He was a loving and doting dad to his 8-year old son and had a new baby on the way. A new baby whose gender Zae will never know and has left both children growing up without their daddy. Kristie and Zae had a special bond, one that only a mother and her son would know. Zae was Kristie’s only child, her baby, HER WORLD. No mother should have to bury their child. This is a heartbreaking loss for all who knew Zae but especially Kristie. This beautiful mother, in her time of grief, made the decision to save others lives by having her son become an organ donor. That’s just the person Kristie is and why she’s loved so much. So at this time we are setting up this GoFundMe to help cover funeral expenses. Any remaining funds will be used for the care of his children. We would be forever grateful if you find it in your heart to donate.
