Honoring Zac's Memory with Love

Hello everyone. Thank you so much for finding your way here.

First, I'd like to thank everyone of you for your warm and inviting hearts you've extended myself, Raiden, and Jameson into your family. I truly feel like a member of the family, and words cannot express how much that means to me. I told Papa on Christmas that he was a true hero of mine. To see at every holiday the family come together, no matter how busy our individual lives can be, is truly inspiring.

I had the opportunity to speak with many of your during Papa's funeral, for those of you that I didn't have the chance to, I'll give a summary.

After Papa's service, Holly took me over to see Harold and Zac. It pains me to see how much they hurt to have them gone, as I know it also pains everyone in the family. God truly has a plan for all of us, unfortunately, that plan did not involve me meeting Harold or Zac, which will always tear me up inside. And watching Father present Papa's service flag to Patsy, signifying the loss of another close family member, can't help but be yet another reminder of loved ones lost. I can't fathom the pain and hurt that they feel, almost makes one feel helpless.

I say of this to say, visiting them after Papa's service, I learned that Zac does not have a headstone marking his final resting place. Based on several conversations with family members it was understood that this is something that the family would like to take care of together.

I need everyone to know that this is NOT about the amount of money, or anything to do with cost. In the grand scheme of things, it's not that much. However, I thought the fact that the family feels compelled to do this, it would be appropriate to let everyone have a chance in coming together to make this a reality. Not to mention doing it together would mean so much more.

Whatever you would like to contribute is a blessing. No dollar amount is too large or small. I plan to keep the dollar amounts donated private. All anyone will see is the total amount raised. Should we exceed our amount, ALL remaining funds will be donated directly to Saints Cyril & Methodius Church
