Zach was the kind of person who threw himself fully into the things and people he loved.

He had an adventurous spirit and loved freestyle flipping, cliff jumping, indoor climbing, hiking, weightlifting, thrifting, music, and anime. He loved pushing himself, trying hard things, finding the next adventure, and having the freedom to express himself and be fully who he was.

But as much as those things were part of who Zach was, so were his friendships and his willingness to help others.

Zach loved his friends deeply. He showed up for the people he cared about, and helping others came naturally to him. His family hopes that the love, loyalty, generosity, individuality, and adventurous spirit he brought into the world can continue to make a difference in someone else’s life.

This memorial fund is being created in Zach’s honor, with the intention of establishing a scholarship in his name. The family will thoughtfully develop the scholarship to reflect Zach’s life, passions, and the qualities he valued in others. Additional details, including eligibility and future recipients, will be shared as the scholarship is established.

Funds raised will be held toward that future purpose as the family determines the best way to honor Zach’s memory.
