My name is Lorrie, and I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my grandson and for my daughter, Athena Walker, whose son, Zachary, passed away on August 18, 2025. He was only 30 years old. Zachary died while incarcerated, in solitary confinement. Our family has been devastated not only by his sudden and heartbreaking loss, but also by the lack of answers. The jail and the coroner have not explained how or why he passed away. Because of this, Athena has made the difficult decision to pursue a second autopsy, as we fear there may have been foul play involved. We are raising funds to cover funeral expenses, the cost of an independent autopsy, and to help our family in the pursuit of truth and justice for Zachary. Our goal is to raise $15,000 so that we can honor Zachary’s life with the dignity and love he deserves, while also seeking the closure and answers our family so desperately needs.
