Mohammed Hmaid Abu Mousa is a father whose life was shattered at the beginning of the war when he lost his 7-year-old son, Youssef, in a strike that destroyed their home.
Many may remember his story; the heartbreaking moment when he was working at Nasser Hospital as an X-ray technician and discovered that his own family were among those brought in for treatment.
But his suffering did not end there.
Mohammed was later detained and spent 20 months in prison under extremely harsh conditions. When he was released, he faced a shattered world. During his incarceration, he lost both his mother and his sister.
The home he once lived in is no longer standing. It was completely destroyed and must now be rebuilt from the ground up.
Despite everything, Mohammed returned to his work at Nasser Hospital, continuing to treat patients and serve his community amid the ongoing crisis.

Why This Campaign Matters
Before the war, Mohammed was also a gaming content creator on Twitch and YouTube. His son, Youssef, was his biggest supporter—always sitting beside him, watching, cheering, and sharing in those joyful moments.
Streaming was more than a hobby. It was a bond between father and son.
Today, Mohammed hopes to return to streaming—not only to keep Youssef’s memory alive, but also to create a second source of income to help rebuild his life.
In the current conditions, relying on a single income is not enough. The cost of rebuilding, basic necessities, and daily survival continues to rise, while resources remain extremely limited.
