My brother, Youman Wilder, passed away unexpectedly, leaving our family heartbroken and facing the challenge of honoring his memory. Youman lived in Brooklyn, New York, while his immediate family is spread across Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Florida. Youman was an icon in the baseball community, founding the Harlem Hitting Academy to mentor and train youth. He was a talented singer, coming in second at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, and a college graduate and athlete. Youman stood up against injustice and was a beloved brother, uncle, and brother-in-law to many. His family extended throughout the neighborhood, and his impact was felt far and wide.

He was the glue that kept our family together and was always there to help any of us when he could. Many family and friends want to honor Youman, but without your help, some may not be able to attend.
