In Loving Memory of Our Brother, Taken Too Soon.
On the evening of Tuesday, May 5th, our beloved brother, 34-year-old Yan Carlos Abreu tragically lost his life in a car accident on the Spring Brook Parkway. Our family is shattered by this sudden loss, and we are still trying to comprehend a world without him.
He leaves behind his mother, sister, brother, niece, and nephews—each of us carrying a piece of him in our hearts. He was a son, a brother, an uncle, and a friend whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and love into every room he entered. His absence is felt deeply and painfully.
We created this fundraiser to help cover the funeral, burial, and related expenses, including the service, transportation, and arrangements needed to lay him to rest. These costs have been overwhelming, and our family is doing everything we can to manage them during this incredibly painful time.
The funds raised will be directly used for Yan’s funeral expenses and will be withdrawn by Kenia Leon, who is Yan’s aunt and who is responsible for coordinating the funeral arrangements on behalf of our family.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this page means just as much. We are grateful for every prayer, message, and act of kindness.
Thank you for helping us honor his memory and lay him to rest with love.
With gratitude,
The Abreu/Leon Family
