Yajaira proved to be nothing less than a miracle since the day she was born. Always fighting against all odds, she managed to amaze her family and medical teams so many times throughout her life. You see, Yari was born with Jarcho-Levin syndrome, a rare hereditary condition affecting the axial skeleton. Despite those challenges, she managed to live a normal and beautiful life. Everyone that was fortunate enough to meet her instantly knew how special she was. Even when the world wasn’t kind, Yari managed to put on a smile and power through. She was beautiful, smart and had the best sense of humor. If you ever came to her with a problem, she wouldn’t stop until she helped you solve it, always putting those around her before herself.

We lost Yari, unexpectedly, on Saturday, May 25, 2024 due to complications of pneumonia. She is survived by her son, Isaiah, who is 17 years old, her partner Mike of 19 years, her mother and father Yomaris and Heriberto, and sister Jessica. We are all devastated but take solace in knowing that, Yari is in heaven now smiling down because she has finally been reunited with her baby girl, Avery, who passed away 5 years ago.

This GoFundMe is being put together to help cover medical and funeral costs. Whatever is left over, will be placed in an account for Isaiah, Yajaira’s son.
