On April 8, 2025, we lost Woo Young—a deeply kind, gifted, and beloved man—who passed away suddenly from a brain aneurysm. He was in his early 40s and leaves behind his loving wife and their two young daughters, Hannah (6) and Olivia (2).

Woo Young had a rare gift for bringing people together. Whether it was through his music, his easy smile, or his love for video games and LAN parties, he created bonds that lasted. He was a brilliant musician—fluent on the piano, guitar, and flute, and a singer whose voice left an impression on everyone who heard it.

Though Woo Young grew up without a strong family support system—his mother left when he was a toddler, and his father lived overseas—he became the most devoted family man. He built a life full of love, laughter, and kindness, especially with his wife and their daughters. He was the kind of dad who would sing to his girls, make them laugh, and make sure they knew they were loved every single day.

His passing came as a shock to all who knew him. He was private, and many of us only recently learned the news. For those who knew him, it’s hard to imagine a world without his warmth and energy.

This fundraiser is created to support Woo Young’s wife and daughters during this incredibly difficult time. All donations will go directly to his family to help cover immediate expenses, and more importantly, to support Hannah and Olivia as they grow up without their father.

Woo Young gave so much of himself to others. Now, we have the chance to give something back.
