We are broken hearted to share the loss of my dad William Kenneth Nelson at the age of 73 on December 23, 2025 at 12:25 pm. He fought the good fight this last 3 years where he endured toe amputations, wounds in his feet, strokes, kidney disease, loss of mobility and infections. This last infection went into bone then to sepsis in his blood stream. He was determined this last week to be home by Christmas. He fought the entire way until Jesus called him home.

Served in the United States Army. He was a logger then trucker for 36 years. He enjoyed remodeling classic cars and entering them into Kool April Nights and other car shows. Later in life his love for cars turned into model building. He loved the 49ers. 

In March of 2025, he lost his mom Peggy Aldrich. He was her only living next of kin. He tried to take care of her affairs while going through his own critical health battles. She is still at the funeral home. It was her wish to be laid to rest in Hayfork, CA with her son who passed away at the age of six.

It was also my dad’s wish to be laid to rest with his brother.

At his bedside this week we had a few heart to heart conversations. He asked me to make sure his mom was taken care of and I agreed to ensure she would be. 

During this incredibly difficult time, we are asking for support to help cover the cost for my dad and his moms cremation, plot, the opening and closing costs as well as a headstone.
