Our family is heartbroken by the sudden and unexpected passing of our mom, sister, and Nana, Wendy Warfel. Wendy had a remarkable way of making people feel loved. She poured her heart into those around her and found joy in life's simple pleasures—creating art, tending to her flowers and garden, and caring for others. Those who knew Wendy knew that her greatest gift was her heart. She found joy in making others feel seen, cared for, and loved, and that kindness is the legacy she leaves behind. Wendy was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Warfel, and her son, Shane Warfel. She is survived by her sons, Kyle and Josh Warfel, her beloved grandson, Carter Warfel, and her sister, Laurie Stipa.

Because Wendy's passing was so sudden and unexpected, our family is asking for help with the expenses to come. The funds raised will help cover these final expenses and allow our family the opportunity to give Wendy the meaningful farewell she deserves. This includes the costs of her cremation, burial, and a celebration of life that will bring together the many people whose lives she touched. Any funds remaining after these expenses have been met will be donated to the Shane Warfel Memorial Scholarship Fund, honoring both Wendy's memory and the memory of her late son.
