Wendy Martinez was born on February 5, 1977. She was the beloved daughter of Elena Martinez and Joe Martinez, and the firstborn of four children. She is survived by her parents, sister Jenny, brother Eddie, sister Geselle, niece Faith, nephew Isaac, and brothers-in-law Cesar and Peter. Though our hearts ache and she will be deeply missed, we find peace in knowing she now rests in the arms of the Lord. We will carry her in our hearts until we are reunited in Heaven.

Wendy was a faithful and devoted LVN who poured God’s love into every child she cared for, treating those with special needs as her own and welcoming their families as her family. Wendy was blessed with a big and compassionate heart, touching the lives of all who had the blessing of knowing her. Her gentle spirit made her a protector of those she loved. She had a true servant’s heart—always putting others before herself. She embodied the hands and feet of Jesus, serving with compassion, strength, and love.

On Good Friday, April 3, 2026, our Lord and Savior called His daughter Wendy home into Heaven. After facing many health challenges, including several post strokes and complications, she was called into eternal rest. Wendy’s final moments were spent surrounded by her family. Together, they praised the Lord listening to worship music, sharing what they were thankful for and their love for one another. She shared that she felt covered in peace, saying, ‘Wouldn’t it be amazing if I went the same day as Jesus?’ In God’s perfect timing, He knew her heart and called her home on Good Friday.
