Honoring Weatta's Memory
Weatta Frazier Collins was a much-loved member of the GA class of '82. Over the years she never lost her ties to our class, celebrating with us at graduation and attending happily - and oh, so stylishly - our 35th reunion in 2017 and more recently our 40th in 2022. Everyone who knew her then or has met her through alumni events ever since sensed her energy and witnessed her impact on the class. Weatta was taken from us much too soon. In her honor, the GA Class of '82 - and others from the GA community who wish to join us - are raising funds to donate to The Legacy Exists, a (501)(c)(3) non-profit scholarship fund created to exemplify the embodiment and humanitarianism of Weatta's dad, “Smokin’ Joe Frazier."
As an initial goal, we've set out to raise $1,982, an amount intrinsically tied to our relationship with Weatta. We encourage you to give what you can - no amount is too small. Let's try to exceed the goal and show the Frazier Collins family how important and endeared Weatta was to us and how GA82 remains a truly supportive community all these years after we walked the halls of school together.
May she rest in peace and never be forgotten.
