Wayne was a loving father, son, and fiancé who brought laughter and warmth to everyone around him. At just 24 years old, he was engaged to Ariel, a dedicated therapist who was the love of his life. Together they had recently bought their first home, excited to grow there family. Wayne was passionate about his work, first as a CNC machinist and then as a cabinet maker. He was proud and excited to start remodeling there home with the help from his dad and brothers. Their home was filled with love, not just for each other but for the animals they rescued from a shelter—a dog named Bruno and four cats who quickly became part of their growing family. Wayne was looking forward to the future, especially the possibility of welcoming a new sibling for Malachi (Mac) who is his beloved son from a previous relationship.
Wayne was a true family man who cherished every moment with his loved ones. He enjoyed four-wheeling, cheering on his nieces and nephews at their games, and dancing to music and could keep a beat to any style. He always brought energy and joy to social gatherings. He had a great sense of humor and loved making people laugh, always bringing joy to those around him. Wayne was a devoted and loving father to Malachi, and their bond was incredibly special. One of the things my brother loved doing with his son was going to the parks, then going out to eat. He loved being outside. Music was in his soul, and he loved watching his dad perform in a country band. Wayne also had a strong sense of justice and faith, always eager to help others and learn more about the world, especially in politics. I'd like to share a recent memory of my brother of just how courageous and eager he was to help someone in need. Around a month ago, Wayne, his brother Brian, and their father were on their way to dinner when they noticed a stranger getting beat up in a park. Wayne and Brian immediately ran to help and chased the criminals while their father called 911 and helped stop the bleeding for this individual. This act of courage and kindness truly shows the character Wayne carried throughout his life.
On Saturday, September 20th, 2025, Wayne’s life was tragically taken in a tragic and horrendous car accident on his way to his parent's with his son to celebrate his brother Johnny’s birthday. The wonderful good samaritans who were first on scene attended to those that they could help. They called 911, and the jaws of life had to be used to get my brother out. This has made local news.
Miraculously, Wayne’s son Malachi survived the crash and is now thriving in the PICU. There is a separate GoFundMe for Malachi’s recovery. The loss has left a deep void in our family and in the lives of everyone who knew Wayne. He was only 24 years old. We are raising funds to help cover funeral expenses, including a burial as Wayne wished, and ease the financial burden on our family as we grieve and begin to heal. Any donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference during this incredibly difficult time. Thank you for supporting us as we go thru this hard time.
