In Memory of Vivia Ayrton

To whom it may concern,

My name is John Galiotti, son of Vivia Ayrton, who was born on March 24, 1976. I am also the brother of Vinicius Galiotti, Pietro Galiotti, and Joshua Ayrton.

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved mother, Vivia Ayrton, who passed away at the age of 50 on September 9, 2026, in Istanbul, Turkey.

Vivia was a loving mother to 4, friend to many, and a dedicated clinical psychologist who devoted much of her last years to helping people through some of their darkest and most difficult moments. She supported individuals struggling with depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, drug addictions, suicidal thoughts, and other serious emotional and mental challenges. Thanks to her work, compassion, and dedication, she helped countless people and, in many ways, saved their lives.

She was deeply loved and respected by her patients, universally praised for her care, always known to go above and beyond the standard practices requested by the clinics she was employed at. She also advocated fiercely for improvements in the policies and practices within the clinics worked with, never afraid to directly confront even those in charge, as well as general practices and policies within the state of Massachusetts. She always strived for better treatment and care so that those who needed it the most, could receive the dignity, compassion, and support they needed.

She touched the lives of many people throughout her life. Those who knew her will remember her for her over the top personality, emotional strength, boundless compassion, love for music and dancing and the countless meaningful connections she built with the people in and around her communities. The outcry of condolences received in the days following the news of her passing went far beyond my expectations.

She traveled to Turkey alone to undergo a surgical procedure. Sadly, complications related to a heart condition resulted in her passing.

Our family is now facing the difficult process of bringing her ashes home and completing the necessary arrangements following her death abroad. Because this occurred internationally, the cremation and repatriation process has involved significant additional expenses and logistical challenges.

We created this fundraiser to help our family with the costs associated with cremation, transportation, documentation, funeral arrangements, and other expenses related to bringing Vivia's ashes home and laying her to rest.

Any contribution, regardless of the amount, would mean a great deal to our family during this incredibly difficult time. If you are unable to contribute financially, sharing this fundraiser with others would also be deeply appreciated.

We are grateful to everyone who has reached out, offered their support, and remembered our mother with love.
