Virginia Gorham was the kind of person you don’t just meet… you feel lucky to have known.
She was a devoted wife of over 50 years, and her love story sounds like something out of a novel. When she saw her husband in third grade, she said, “I’m going to marry that boy.” And she did! Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and six beautiful children who carry her heart forward. Virginia was the most patient, gentle, and nonjudgmental soul. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome, seen, and loved. She was never the first to let go of a hug, and that says everything about the kind of person she was. She was not only a loving wife, but also a sister, proud mother, grandmother to three cherished grandchildren. She is now reunited with her mother, father, and brother who passed before her.
About 10 years ago, Virginia was diagnosed with cancer. From that moment on, she fought with everything she had. She changed her lifestyle, stayed strong for her family, and showed what true resilience looks like. She didn’t just endure… she lived with intention. She found joy in the simple, beautiful things. She loved quilting, pouring her care into every stitch, tending to her garden, and she adored her cats and dogs, who were always close by. Virginia passed away at the age of 73, leaving behind a family who will forever carry her love with them.
Losing her has left an incredible void in our lives. We are asking for support to help cover funeral expenses and to give Virginia the memorial she truly deserves, including a proper urn and services to honor her life. If you are able to donate, we are deeply grateful. If not, sharing this page means just as much to us.
Thank you for helping us celebrate and honor a woman who gave so much love to everyone around her.
