Honoring Victor's Life of Kindness and Love

Donation protected
On the evening of January 29th my sister and nephew's world's came to a crashing halt in the most devastating way. Victor, Ashley's devoted husband and Nathan's incredible, loving Daddy collapsed on the floor in their home shortly after finishing work. Despite my sister and paramedics best efforts in the home and a team of doctors at the hospital he was rushed to they were unable to save this amazing soul from leaving us far too soon.

Victor gained his wings at the young age of 34 and had so much life ahead of him and so many plans with his family that will never be realized now. All they have left is the photos, videos and countless beautiful memories of a life well lived. They went on many adventures together and enjoyed exploring life and sharing new experiences together. He was a true family man.

Victor was an incredible man who touched each and every person he came in contact with. His laugh was infectious and his personality bigger than life itself. He always had the right words to say and was a pillar in each and every circle in his life. Once you knew Victor and saw his soul you knew you were in the presence of someone incredible.

He never hesitated to help those he loved. He was a rock for so many. He had that rare ability to unite and bring people together no matter how different they may have seemed on the surface. There were so many dynamic sides to Victor that he could literally find something to connect with anybody who crossed his path within a matter of minutes.

Victor's main love, outside of his family, was basketball. It was where he found peace and where he always came alive and was truly free whenever he hit that court, especially with Nathan. It was where they had been bonding and growing together since Nathan could walk. No matter the stage in Nathan's life he always had a basketball hoop in the house of some form so that they could play together. It was their ultimate bonding place and helped make their already beautiful relationship even more special.

Victor worked as a crisis counselor, saving lives and helping complete strangers through some of their darkest times. He would often speak about how much some calls touched him, especially when children around Nathan's age were involved. Though his job was exhausting he was always very humble about just how incredible it was and the work he was doing was. He literally saved lives into the very last hour of his own life. He worked from home so that he could always be near in case Ashley and Nathan needed him. That was Vik. Always thinking of others.

As Ashley and Nathan start navigating this new path there are a lot of hurdles ahead of them. The main question Ashley has been asked is "what can we do to help, do you have a gofundme?" which is yet another testament to who Victor was. No matter who you speak to they always say Ashley and Nathan were always a proud topic for Victor to speak about. He glowed and smiled talking about his wifey and his Nate. They truly had a love and bond that you rarely see outside of movies. This was the ultimate once in a lifetime family. Victor was the ultimate, once in a lifetime man.

Ashley and Victor did not like to ask for help often but instead always enjoyed helping others and doing for their son. It is because of that love and devotion for Nathan that Ashley has agreed to give in and put this up. Any help towards some of the financial responsibilities of life so that she can focus on getting Nathan's schedule back as normal as possible would be much appreciated. Being able to focus on him, if even for a little while, while they figure out life without Victor is all that matters right now.

Thank you to each and every one of you in advance.
