Victor Guillermo (Memo) Cuevas Uzcanga was born on June 3, 1983, in Tijuana, BC. At the age of 7, he moved to San Diego, CA, where he grew up and built a life surrounded by family and friends. In his youth, Victor pursued a career in customer service, working in local restaurants, and it was there that he met his future wife, Diana Mathieu. Victor was always a sociable person, bringing warmth and humor to every environment. He loved music, describing it as his best companion, and found peace in nature, especially among trees and birds. He often spoke about the feeling of freedom and the way everything in the world is connected through energy.

Victor lived a healthy life and was passionate about exercise until, at age 24, he was diagnosed with cancer. This marked the beginning of his courageous fight for life. With faith and the unwavering support of his wife, Victor overcame cancer multiple times, never giving up. His resilience and warrior spirit inspired everyone around him. At 34, Victor received an unexpected blessing—the chance to become a father. After years of health challenges, the birth of his son, Victor Emiliano Cuevas, in May 2018 brought immense joy and purpose to his life. Victor cherished every moment of fatherhood, from the pregnancy to seeing his son grow.

On February 19, 2026, Victor passed away surrounded by the family and friends who had always supported him. Now, his loved ones are facing the difficult task of covering funeral expenses and honoring his memory. Any contribution, big or small, would mean so much to us.
