Venkatesh Doppalapudi came to the United States with a dream of building a better future for himself and his family. He was kind, humble, hardworking, and respected everyone around him. He worked tirelessly to complete his master’s degree and was building his career in the United States on OPT (Optional Practical Training).

Tragically, while traveling from Houston to his home in Omaha, Nebraska, Venkatesh Doppalapudi lost his life in a flash flood in Kansas. His sudden passing has left his family, friends, and everyone who knew him heartbroken.

This fundraiser has been created to help bring Venkatesh Doppalapudi home to India so his family can perform his final rites and give him the farewell he deserves. The funds raised will be used to cover the transportation of his body to India, funeral and related expenses, and to provide immediate financial support to his grieving family during this difficult time.

Venkatesh was more than a friend to many of us—he was family. He touched countless lives with his kindness, sincerity, and willingness to help others. He will always be remembered and deeply missed.
