We still cannot believe we are writing this, but before New Year's, our dear grandfather Vang passed away. With heavy hearts, my family and I are asking for support as we lay my beloved grandfather, Vang Soompholphakdy, to rest.
He was a sweet, kind soul who lived his life with love, humility, and quiet strength. He always put others before himself, offering warmth, wisdom, and compassion to everyone he met. To us, he was more than a grandfather; he was our anchor, our comfort, and our example of what it means to be a good human being.
His passing was sudden and heartbreaking. He suffered a heart attack, and our family is still trying to process the loss. The pain of losing him is overwhelming, and alongside our grief, we are facing the unexpected costs of his funeral and burial.
We are raising funds to give him the peaceful and respectful farewell he deserves, to lay him to rest with dignity and love.
