The Historic Blakeley Foundation is soliciting donations to offset costs associated with placing a stone marker and commemorative plaque for the remains of an unknown soldier who fell during the Campaign for Mobile. This memorial will honor the memory of all the unknown casualties, some who yet lie in unmarked graves, from the battles of Fort Blakeley and Spanish Fort and other skirmishes associated with the 1865 Campaign for Mobile.
