My name is Logan Mudge, and I’m Tyler’s nephew. I’m creating this fundraiser because my family is going through something incredibly hard, and many people have asked how they can help. On November 10th, 2025 — the 250th Birthday of the Marine Corps — my Uncle Tyler Mudge passed away unexpectedly at just 41 years old. He served two tours in Iraq as a Marine and dedicated the rest of his life to helping other veterans. He was the Post Commander of the Marine Corps League in Cedar City, the Jr. Vice Commander of the VFW, a member of the Elks, and a loyal friend to many. Tyler didn’t have kids, but he was a huge part of my life. He taught me about loyalty, strength, and what it means to show up for your family.
Right now, my dad (Josh) and Tyler’s mom (Marlene), are traveling back and forth and handling the funeral arrangements, legal responsibilities, and other obligations that come with his passing. I’m staying here at Tyler’s home in Utah to help secure his property, look after his things, and support them however I can. It’s a lot emotionally and financially for all of us as we try to honor him properly.
This fund will help with funeral and burial costs, probate and legal fees, securing and settling Tyler’s property, and a Marine Corps tribute or memorial in his honor. Any amount helps, and even sharing this makes a difference. We are deeply grateful for the kindness, support, and love people have shown during this heartbreaking time. Thank you for being here for us. I love you Uncle Tyler. I’ll carry your memory always. — Logan
