On Sunday, March 2, 2025, our dear friend Tricia Reinking had a medical emergency while playing in a pickleball tournament in Opelika, Alabama, and was transported to Montgomery, Alabama, where she passed away peacefully, surrounded by her immediate family, on March 3. Through it all, she was surrounded by her friends, her family, and the amazing Opelika community, who rushed into action immediately after her collapse on the court. As her friends there would attest, she passed with no pain, a smile on her face, and in complete calm as she went to take the final shot of her match, solidifying the game-winning point.

For those that knew Tricia, all would agree that playing pickleball with her friends and teammates gave her immense joy and happiness. Her love for the game was infectious, and her laughter contagious. She was an involved member of the Sandestin Pickleball Community, an entrepreneur, a loving and proud mother to her daughter, Julia (16), and a devoted wife to the love of her life and best friend, Tom. She is survived by her husband Tom, daughter Julia, her parents, Tim and Margy Lamb, her brother Mike Lamb, and her sisters Kathy Lamb and Jenny (Lamb) Mauldin.

So many people have come together to remember Tricia, share their memories, and grieve. So many of you have reached out to those close to her to ask what they may do to honor her memory and support Tom and Julia. After much talk, we have decided to put this GoFundMe together so that people can donate what they'd like in lieu of meals and flowers and to also help support Tom and Julia through this process and beyond.
