With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Travis Santiago, a devoted son, brother, and proud veteran who served his country. Travis was living abroad, but his heart was always with his family, his country, and the people he loved most. Travis was a loving, caring, and selfless person. He was an extremely kind, loyal, respectful, and incredibly strong—someone who loved to laugh, joke, game, travel, and spending time with his loved ones. There wasn't much in this world that could scare him. His strength showed not only in his service to his country, but in how deeply he protected and cared for his mother and his sister. There was nothing he wouldn't do for them. Travis carried his struggles quietly, always keeping a strong face for the people he loved. He believed his burdens were his alone to bear, never wanting to place worry or pain on the shoulders of others. That was the kind of man he was—responsible, selfless, and fiercely devoted to his family, his flag, and his brothers and sisters in arms. We are grateful to have had such a person, such a heart, and such a soul in our lives and in our family. His love, strength, loyalty, and charismatic ways will never be forgotten.
