Honoring the Life of Tranakarta Das

It is with both deep sadness and profound gratitude that we share the passing of our beloved father, Tranakarta Das.

Our father was a man of unwavering faith whose greatest treasure was his devotion to Krishna and his spiritual master, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada. He spent many years distributing Srila Prabhupada’s books, sharing Krishna consciousness with anyone willing to listen, and encouraging others to take shelter of the holy name. His example of faith has had a lasting impact on our lives and on so many others.

In his final days, we were blessed to surround him with what he loved most. His room was filled with pictures of Srila Prabhupada and Lord Krishna, and the sound of Srila Prabhupada chanting the Hare Krishna maha-mantra played continuously by his bedside. He departed this world peacefully in that sacred atmosphere, surrounded by his family and immersed in remembrance of Krishna. While our hearts grieve his physical absence, we find comfort knowing that his final moments were filled with devotion.

As his three sons, we now hope to fulfill what we believe would deeply honor his life and spiritual journey. Our wish is to bring his ashes to the sacred land of India, where we can offer prayers and perform the final rites at holy places that were so dear to him. It is a final act of love and gratitude from three sons to a father who dedicated his life to serving God and inspiring others.

We are humbly asking for help to cover the expenses associated with his cremation, memorial arrangements, and travel costs for his three sons to accompany him on this final pilgrimage to India. Any remaining funds will be used solely for expenses directly related to honoring his memory and completing these sacred rites.
