We are heartbroken to announce the unexpected passing of Tracey Lynn Softley at the age of 51 on Monday, March 10, 2025.
Tracey had been courageously navigating a long journey to heal after an illness in August 2023 left lasting damage to her esophagus. Despite the challenges she faced, she remained strong and full of love for those around her.
Born in Cedar Rapids, IA, Tracey was the beloved daughter of Deborah Brown and Gary Harkness. She grew up in Vinton, IA, before moving to Oklahoma with her mother and stepfather.
Tracey had a deep love for animals, considering her dogs and cat her children. She cherished time spent with family and friends, always bringing warmth, kindness, and laughter to those she loved.
She is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. She is survived by her husband, Tony Softley, sister Tifany Grilley, brother Kyle Harkness, sister Megan Harkness, stepfather Russell Brown, niece Katlyn Gaines, nephews Tayton, Wyatt, Carter, and Ryker, along with many other dear family members and friends.
A memorial service to honor Tracey’s life will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM at McNeil Funeral Service 525 W Hwy 152 Mustang, OK 73064
Tracey’s love, strength, and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. May she rest in peace.
