Less than two weeks ago, my cousin Jose Antonio Jimenez Nevarez, along with a dozen coworkers, were abducted by cartel. They were taken from their gated community, where they were staying while they worked at the Vizsla Silver Mining Company. We were hopeful that he would be found, an extensive search was conducted over several days.

Two nights ago we received the horrifying news that his body had been found.

We are in shock and grieving beyond words. My cousin Toñito was so young, and leaves behind a wife and children. I watched him grow up, he has always been funny, animated, witty, smart, hardworking, and compassionate. We loved him dearly, and it is unfathomable that he is gone, and that he was taken from us in such a violent, senseless way. His wife is in a deep state of grief and pain.

All proceeds from this GoFundMe will go directly to Toñito's wife and their children. I know that in his last moments he was thinking of them, and perhaps worried about them rather than himself. Toñito's wife has approved this GoFundMe and is aware that all proceeds will go to her.
