On Thursday, November 13th, my world changed forever. I lost my forever, Tommy — the most perfect person I’ve ever known, my best friend, my safe place, and the love of my life. I still can’t make sense of waking up in a world where he isn’t beside me.

Tommy wasn’t just loved — he was light. His humor was impeccable, the kind that could tear down walls and lift anyone’s mood no matter how heavy the day felt. His friends and coworkers always said he was the funniest person they had ever met. He had a way of bringing joy and life into everything. He was unbelievably smart, and if there was ever a problem, he would figure it out. He always applied himself, always cared, even if he showed it in his own way.

We were perfect together. Every thought, every view, every opinion — we were always on the same page. We argued once in almost two years. He was my entire world. Waking up next to him, falling asleep in his arms, hearing his heartbeat, having him hold me when things felt hard or scary… he was home. Losing him has taken away the person who made me feel safe in every moment.

One of Tommy’s greatest loves was his motorcycle — his dream bike. We searched all over Texas to find the exact one he wanted. He loved everything about it: the sound, the feel, the way it made him light up inside. He was tuning it himself, working on it with so much pride and excitement. Rebuilding his bike isn’t just a project to me — it’s a way to hold onto a piece of him, to honor what he loved most, and to keep something he cared for so deeply alive.

But with his passing, I’m suddenly faced with all the responsibilities we once shared together — rent, groceries, bills, his car payment, and the everyday essentials that don’t pause, even when your whole life does.
