It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of Tom (Bryon) Hoover, on March 20, 2026.

Tom was born on March 9, 1966, and recently celebrated his 60th birthday. He was an incredibly proud Veteran, a Jumpmaster of the 82nd Airborne who served our country with honor from 1984 to 2008, retiring as a Sergeant First Class. During his years of service, he was deployed to Panama & Iraq and also served as a recruiter, helping guide and inspire others to serve. The Army was not just something he did - it was a core part of who he was, and something he carried with pride every single day.

If you knew Tom, you knew his laugh. He brought lightness into any room, always quick with a joke and never far from a smile. He had a deep love for motorcycles and freedom they represented. He took pride in riding and the experiences that came with it. He was someone who led with heart, humor, and a genuine appreciation for life.

Tom loved a good road trip and made it a priority to stay connected to the people he cared about. Whether traveling to visit friends and family in Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, or beyond, those relationships meant everything to him. And if you knew him, you knew a simple text would almost always turn into a phone call he loved to talk, catch up, and stay connected.

Unfortunately Tom was facing personal battles with PTSD, something many struggle with quietly. While this makes his loss even more heartbreaking, we choose to remember him for his strength, his service, and the joy he brought to those around him.

Because his passing was unexpected, our family is now navigating not only the emotional weight of this loss, but also the financial burden that comes with it. We are raising funds to help cover funeral and memorial expenses, as well as helping ease the financial responsibilities left behind.
