Honoring Tom, His Love of Life and Music

This year will mark the 30th anniversary of our Dad, Tom’s passing. If you knew Tom, you knew his absolute embrace of life. If you spent time with him, you know the boundless heart with which he approached each moment and each person he encountered. If you ever got the chance to speak with him, you knew you had made a friend.

As his sons (Jeff, Phil, and John), although our time with our Dad was short, he poured out his love for us and our Mom every day that we had together. That love runs so deep that it informs how we each see the world and live our lives to this day.

As an outgrowth of that love and the encouragement he gave us to pursue our passions, in 2017 Jeff founded the San Francisco International Piano Festival. And in 2018, he created Tom’s Circle as part of the festival to honor our Dad and remember his legacy through music, a tremendously important element of his life that brought him profound joy.

This year, Phil and John will be raising funds for Tom’s Circle as we run the Celebration, Florida Half Marathon on January 28th.

Celebration will be a uniquely fitting location to be in while participating in this event, as we celebrate the immense blessing that our Dad’s presence was and continues to be for everyone who crossed paths with him.

We will continue fundraising until January 31st, and want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for considering making a contribution in remembrance of Tom.
