Honoring Tom Blum: Support for His Family

Donation protected
Tom Blum was a loving husband, devoted father, and a friend and mentor to so many. He was the proud father of Izzy and Ella and the beloved husband of Tricia, building a life centered around family, kindness, and hard work.

Tom spent over 15 years working at Best Buy, where he inspired, supported, and mentored countless colleagues. During his time there, he didn’t just build a career — he built lasting friendships that meant the world to him.

In July 2025, Tom was diagnosed with non-small cell carcinoma. In the months that followed, he fought with strength and grace, surrounded by his family. His final weeks were spent at home with hospice support and in and out of the hospital, focusing on time with those he loved most.

Tom leaves behind his wife, Tricia, who owns and operates her own nail salon, and their two daughters. Ella is currently in her senior year of high school, navigating one of life’s biggest milestones while grieving the loss of her dad. Izzy continues to flourish in her career and personal life, carrying forward the values her father instilled in her.

Tragically, near the very end of Tom’s life, the family learned that his life insurance was no longer valid — leaving Tricia and the girls in an incredibly difficult position during an already devastating time. Medical bills, hospice care, and related expenses are estimated to range between $15,000 and $20,000. In addition, Tricia stepped away from her business for a week to be with Tom and her family, resulting in lost income during a critical period.

So many of Tom’s former coworkers, employees, and friends have reached out asking how they can help. While prayers, kind words, and condolences mean more than the family can express, the financial burden from medical debt has become the family’s greatest stressor right now.

This fundraiser is intended to help ease that burden and allow Tricia, Izzy, and Ella the space to grieve, heal, and move forward without the constant weight of mounting expenses.

Any contribution — no matter the size — is deeply appreciated. If you’re unable to give, sharing this page or keeping the family in your thoughts also means the world.

This fundraiser was created with Tricia’s permission to help support her and the girls as they navigate this incredibly difficult time. Tricia will be added as a beneficiary as she has time to create the account.

Thank you for supporting the Blum family and for honoring Tom’s life, legacy, and the many lives he touched.
