Honoring Tito – A Father, Fighter, and Family Man

My father, Tito, was the strongest man I knew.

He came from a hard beginning, overcoming addiction, jail time, and the struggles of growing up in the hood, but he never let his past define the future he wanted for his family. He fought his way forward so that his children wouldn’t have to survive the way he did. Because of him, we were raised with kindness in our hearts, love in our home, and the belief that we could do better and be better.

My dad was a father to 7 children and a proud grandfather to over 20 grandchildren. Family was everything to him. Even as life tested him again and again, from losing his limbs one by one, enduring years of health battles, and fighting heart failure, he never stopped showing up for us. He spent the past two years on dialysis, and yet he remained present, supportive, and full of humor.

No matter how much pain he was in, he still found ways to make us laugh. Pranking us, scaring us, and filling our lives with humor. That was him. That is him.

Strong, stubborn, loving, and endlessly full of life.

Update: My father passed away on January 5th 2026 at home surrounded by his family in his room full of love.

This GoFundMe has been created to help our family cover the costs of his funeral, cremation, and travel expenses, as it was his wish to be laid to rest with his mother in Connecticut. Tito is an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He leaves behind a legacy of resilience, love, and laughter that will live on through all of us.
