Honoring Titi Betty: Support Her Final Farewell
Donation protected
We are reaching out today with heavy hearts in honor of our beloved aunt, sister, cousin and friend Beatriz Rosario.
Titi Betty was a woman of deep faith who devoted herself wholeheartedly to her church and her choir. Her unwavering love, compassion, and strength will forever live in our hearts. She lived as a phenomenal artist, a nurturing soul, a passionate lover of music, and an incredible salsera. More than anything, she was a devoted follower of God.
Despite her fights against dementia and mental health conditions, Titi Betty never let it define her. She lived with grace and purpose, continuing to uplift others even in her most difficult moments. As her niece, I can say without a doubt that she was a second mother to all of her nieces and nephews. Her love didn’t have boundaries—it was wide, unconditional, and fiercely protective.
One of my core memories that speaks to who she truly was happened during Hurricane Sandy. At the time, the DMV was being hit hard by the remnants of the storm from the north. My parents were visiting family for the day, and I remember feeling so afraid—the darkness, the thunder, and the lightning were overwhelming. But Titi Betty was there. She shielded us not only physically but spiritually. She prayed over us and comforted us, making sure we felt safe, loved, and protected as we rode out the storm. That moment has stayed with me ever since and perfectly reflects the kind of aunt, woman, and guardian she was.
Titi Betty was incredibly generous, never judged others by appearances or assumptions, and carried a radiant sense of humor that could bring laughter even in the darkest moments.
Her presence was a blessing, and her absence is felt immensely—but her spirit lives on in all of us who were lucky enough to be loved by her.
At this time we are raising funds to help cover the cost of our Titi Betty’s funeral and burial expenses. The costs of this campaign will help contribute towards memorial service arrangements and any related expenses for her final farewell. We will honor her life with the dignity and grace she deserves.
