With very heavy hearts, we share that Tina Whitaker Buehler, suddenly passed away. Her daughter (Crystal) and family were notified on the evening of August 6th, 2025 that Tina was in a one-car fatal accident on US 127 near Addison, MI and pronounced at the scene.
Tina was a loving, strong, hardworking and caring woman whose larger-than-life presence filled the room with her honesty and laughter. She was personable, easy to talk to and get along with as well as a devoted wife, mother, daughter and grandmother. Many of her beloved friends and customers may remember Tina from her years working at Perky Pantry (Irish Hills-Onsted, MI) or even The Daily Telegram (Adrian, MI) for many years before that.
She leaves behind her Mother- Sandra Cady Lebaron (Lifelong Friend Earl Holland), Husband Tim Buehler, Brother Thomas Whitaker (Joel Whitaker), Sister Tracy Proffitt (Rick Proffitt), her children Crystal Abbott (Cody Abbott) and Jeff Burgett, Grandchildren; Christopher, Brianna, Aiden, Dylan and Elissa, who all love and miss her dearly.
As the family grieves this profound and tragic loss of their young 61-year-old mother, daughter, wife, we are also working to honor her memory with a cremation and Memorial Service to hold a space of grieving for the countless lives she touched and to celebrate her life. Unfortunately, since this was an unexpected tragedy, the associated expenses have quickly become overwhelming.
We are raising funds in hopes to cover:
• Funeral home/Memorial Service
• Cremation expenses
• Any additional money will be spent to cover any unforeseen expenses to the funeral home and planning process.
Our goal is to raise $8,000 to give Tina Whitaker Buehler the Memorial and Celebration of Life that she deserves. Every single donation, regardless of the amount, is greatly appreciated. If you’re unable to contribute financially, we ask that you please consider sharing this campaign or keeping our family in your prayers as we take things day by day healing and honoring Tina’s memory.
Thank you for your love, support, and compassion during this incredibly difficult time.
With extreme gratitude,
Tina’s Family
