In lieu of flowers, please consider a monetary donation to provide my mom, Thy Thianh Vo, a funeral she deserves. Thy was a beloved sister, daughter, friend, and mother of two, who was diagnosed with stomach cancer. She went to the doctors multiple times with concerns about her weight loss and acid reflux, but they would just brush it off as anxiety and stress. Unfortunately, by the time they finally believed her and caught it, the cancer had already progressed to stage 4. She endured over two years of chemotherapy and radiation. No matter how badly she wanted to give up, she tried every treatment that the doctors could come up with. She battled with every ounce of her strength, but unfortunately, the doctors said she was out of treatment options. The cancer was not responding to any treatments, and it was growing too fast. For the last two months, she has not been able to eat anything, and any liquids consumed would just go directly out of a tube and into an external bag. She was surviving off of just liquid IV nutrition for the last two months. Unfortunately, no matter how strong she was, the pain from the rapidly spreading cancer became too unbearable. She finally lost her battle on March 4, 2025. If you knew my mom, she was the life of the party and would not want you to shed any tears of sadness, but instead remember the good times each and every one of us had with her. She lives on through her two children, Brianna and Darren Vo.
