In Loving Memory of Thelma ❤️ Help Support the Seven Children She Leaves Behind

Some people come into your life and change it forever. For me, Thelma was one of those people.

Thelma wasn’t just my neighbor or my best friend. She was my sister, my family, and an answered prayer.

For years, I prayed for God to place someone in my life who was genuine. Someone who wouldn’t just take from me, but who would help me grow, love unconditionally, and give without expecting anything in return.

And God answered that prayer with Thelma.

I’ve always believed I had a big heart, but Thelma’s heart far surpassed mine. She gave not for recognition or praise, but simply because helping others genuinely made her happy. Her kindness wasn’t something she practiced when it was convenient. It was simply who she was.

On October 15, our world was shattered when Thelma tragically lost her life after being struck by a train during her early morning walk in Eloy, Arizona. She had just celebrated her 47th birthday in September. Forty-seven years was nowhere near enough time for a woman who had so much love left to give.

Thelma leaves behind seven children, including three minors: Symphony (Nani), Evelyn, and Max. Her 21-year-old daughter, Shaunia, will now be stepping into the role of head of household, with the love and support of her 29-year-old sister, Alaisha.

These two young women are grieving the unimaginable loss of their mother while taking on the enormous responsibility of caring for their younger siblings and keeping their family together.

What makes this even more emotional is that just days before her passing, Thelma gave her life to Jesus Christ and was baptized. I was blessed to witness that beautiful moment. In the days that followed, her social media was filled with gratitude, positivity, and love for God. She was embracing her faith with such grace and asking Him to remove the negativity from her life.

I find comfort knowing she gave her heart to the Lord, but my heart breaks for the children who must now navigate life without their mother.

Thelma spent her life being a blessing to others. Now it’s our turn to be a blessing to her children.

We are raising funds to help Shaunia, Alaisha, and the children with groceries, household expenses, and the everyday financial responsibilities that don’t stop simply because their world has fallen apart.

No amount of money can replace their mother, but together we can help ease the financial burden and give this family some stability during an unimaginable time.

Whether you can donate $5, $20, or simply share this fundraiser, every act of kindness matters.

Thelma, you were the answer to a prayer I prayed for so long. I just never imagined I’d have to say goodbye so soon.

You showed me what genuine friendship, unconditional love, and true selflessness look like. I will forever thank God for bringing you into my life.

Now I pray that the love you so freely gave to others comes pouring back into the lives of your children.

Rest in the arms of Jesus, my beautiful sister. Until we meet again. ️❤️

Please donate, share, and keep Thelma’s seven children and entire family in your prayers.
