Just a few days before Thanksgiving, my sister lost her son Sebastian. He was born in Pretoria, South Africa, but spent almost all of his life in Verdi, NV where he grew up alongside his mother Marcela, his father Gabor and his brother Lucas. Sebastian, better known as Basti to family and close friends, was one of the most thoughtful, kind, caring, and funniest human beings you will ever have the fortune to meet. Beautiful inside and out. He put his family first and was always looking after everyone’s well being. He was the type of person that would quite literally give you the shirt off his back. A fanatic outdoorsman, passionate about hiking, camping, and hunting. He loved going out from morning till dark in search of deer antlers, precious rocks, arrow heads, crystals and other treasures. There is not one mountain in the Verdi area surrounding his home that he has not hiked, his tracks are everywhere and this is where he was the happiest.

A best friend to so many, a beloved son, brother, nephew and cousin, his departure has been an unimaginable and painful loss for everyone that knew him, but he will continue to live in our hearts forever.
