Hello my name is Cynthia Flores and my family and I are truly thankful and appreciative to anyone who takes the time to read my family’s story. This Christmas was not the Christmas we as a family ever expected it to be. We were completely blindsided and devastated by the unexpected loss of my nephew Joaquin Rey Jose Flores on December 23rd. Joaquin was only 6 years old. Joaquin was such a smart young man who excelled in many areas especially math with his ability to multiply large numbers at such a young age. He honestly had such a bright future ahead of him. Joaquin was a son, a grandson, a cousin, a nephew and a friend to so many. For such a little boy he had an amazingly bright smile, one that would fill your heart with genuine warmth. Which was apparent every time he would watch the movie Cars that starred his favorite character Lightening McQueen. Our family is giving it our all to cope with this sudden loss therefore we are asking for the respect of refraining from any questions on how this tragedy came to be as we as a family are trying to cope with this awful grief and heal as a whole. Any donation received will be used for expenses directly related to Joaquin’s untimely departure. I want to honestly and sincerely thank everyone for any support given to our family at this difficult time.

Hola, mi nombre es Cynthia Flores y mi familia y yo estamos realmente agradecidos con cualquiera que se tome el tiempo de leer la historia de mi familia. Esta Navidad no fue la Navidad que nosotros como familia esperábamos que fuera. Quedamos completamente sorprendidos y devastados por la inesperada pérdida de mi sobrino Joaquín Rey José Flores el 23 de diciembre. Joaquín tenía sólo 6 años. Joaquín era un niño muy inteligente que sobresalía en muchas áreas, especialmente en matemáticas, por su capacidad para multiplicar números grandes a una edad tan temprana. Honestamente, tenía un futuro brillante por delante. Joaquín fue hijo, nieto, primo, sobrino y amigo de muchos. Para ser un niño tan pequeño, tenía una sonrisa increíblemente brillante, una que llenaría tu corazón con calidez genuina. Lo cual era evidente cada vez que veía la película Cars protagonizada por su personaje favorito, Rayo McQueen. Nuestra familia está dando todo lo posible para hacer frente a esta pérdida repentina, por lo tanto, pedimos el respeto de abstenernos de hacer preguntas sobre cómo surgió esta tragedia mientras nosotros, como familia, estamos tratando de hacer frente a este terrible dolor y sanar como un todo. . Cualquier donación recibida se utilizará para gastos directamente relacionados con la partida prematura de Joaquín.
