Hi my name is Ashley Enriquez Arnett and my brother Jonathan Arnett and I are asking for donations of any amount towards my mom Beverly Arnett's Funeral and ending life expenses. My mom passed away on July 25th 2026 at 5am she was 62 she was diagnosed after doing a Mri with stage 4 rectal cancer that had spread to her liver and lymphs nodes on March 16th 2026 she was given 6 months to live without chemo and 2 to 3 years with chemo. My mom had a huge blockage in her stomach the doctors said if she would have waited 2 more days to come in her stomach would have ruptured and she would have died so it was a very close call because she worked full time up to the day before her diagnosed in that condition. The first week in the hospital they did a liver biopsy found a 4 cm and 6 cm cancer mass , they were only able to do a partial colonoscopy where they found a 10 cm cancer mass in her rectal, she ended up having to get a colostomy bag. Her bag ended up leaking 3 times on her wound that causes infections and her staples on her stomach to pop open. She was in the hospital for 5 weeks trying to get healthy enough to attempt chemo but she had so many health complications come up. She went home on April 25 looking forward to trying chemo but 5 days later we had to rush her back to the hospital because she was very sick she had sepsis, small bowel blockage, abesses in the stomach and ending up getting afib. She had to stay on a liquid diet permanently her cancer became aggressive and they discovered her rectal cancer mass was 13 cm now she was in the hospital another 3 weeks including her last birthday may 5 and mothers day and we had to put her on hospice because she was not healthy enough to ever attempt chemo anymore she was given a month or less to live in May. After a total of 2 months in the hospital after her diagnosed i was very lucky to find a charity home hospice to take her so we could finally bring her home with me on May 18th. I was her 24/7 caregiver she lived till July 25 th 2026 she was doing good for the first month but the second month she started getting more health complications that were harder to fix her body was just giving out she had another small bowel blockage, edema, organ failure, possibly sepsis again infections that caused confusion and shortness of breath. She fought so hard till the very end everything happened very fast we are still in shock. My brother and i were at my home by her side comforting her till her last breath.
She was a outgoing, talkative, loving and caring person who made friends with everyone! She was a single mom of 2 working pay check by pay check doing the best she could. She lived a very simple life had a big heart she touched a lot of people and will forever be missed.
If you would like to make a donation of any amount instead of sending flowers we would forever be grateful thank you!
