Witness Stones ProjectI am the Library Media Specialist at Hartford Public High School, and I am raising money for students who are working on the Witness Stones Project. This research project focuses on telling the stories of the enslaved people of Connecticut, Hartford specifically, and honoring their lives. We use primary source documents to learn as much as we can about their lives, and then hold a ceremony to install a small monument to remember them by. The money you donate will go towards the manufacture of the monument. It is a 4x4" stone with an engraving of the names of the enslaved persons on it, and a few words about their lives.
