It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Gabriesheski “CC” McGhee — a son, brother, uncle, father, and friend whose laughter, kindness, and warmth touched everyone he met.

After a courageous fight following a heart transplant and a 3 month post-op battle of complications, CC entered his eternal rest on August 3rd, 2025.

His absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved him ️

CC is survived by his loving mother, Bernice (“Grandma Bernice” to many), his children — Cierra, Omari, and baby Christianna, his brothers — Reginald and Napoleon and his partner Christina.

As we prepare to say our final goodbyes, the responsibility for planning and covering the costs of CC’s farewell has fallen entirely on his mother.

In the midst of unimaginable grief, Grandma Bernice is also facing the heavy financial weight of arranging her son’s funeral — a burden no parent should have to bear alone. Still, she is determined to honor CC with the dignity, love, and care he so deeply deserves.

CC was a man who gave selflessly to others.
