Honoring the Life of Shane R. Messick

It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden passing of Shane R. Messick, aged 39, on September 24, 2025. Shane was a loving father, son, brother, and friend to many. His unexpected departure has left a deep void in the lives of all who knew and loved him.

Shane was truly the life of the party, his laughter, energy, and warmth lit up every room he entered. He was a genuine soul, full of compassion and kindness, always ready to lend a hand or share a smile. Shane believed in giving back to his community and lived a life of purpose and generosity.

Even in death, Shane continued to give. As an organ donor, he gave the gift of life to others, a final act of selflessness that perfectly reflects the kind of person he was.

One of Shane’s final wishes was to be laid to rest next to his beloved grandmother in Coldspring, Texas, a place that held deep meaning and comfort for him. This GoFundMe has been created to help make that dream come true.

We are raising funds to cover funeral and burial expenses, including the cost of transporting Shane to Coldspring and arranging a service that honors his life and legacy.
